Location: Salt Lake City Utah Schedule: Fulltime MF

Position Summary
The Chemist for this role will come to the role with solid handson experience in this industry or another translatable industry and will be comfortable reviewing developing initiating and maintaining regulations and industry standards via documentation and handson chemical handling experience. This role will abide by all government rules and regulations to ensure safety protocols and best practice implementation while handling and working with various materials and processes. This person should be handson as well as analytical in the laboratory.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in chemistry or related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to handle wet chemistry and comfortably and professionally operate standard chemical and analytical instrumentation and equipment
  • Effective at working both individually and within team environment to accomplish tasks and project goals
Job Description
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in general inorganic and organic chemistry
  • Demonstrated experience in laboratory chemical processes and techniques
  • Experience working with products that may pose special hazards such as airsensitive moisturesensitive pyrophoric highenergy toxic highpotency
  • Strong organizational problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Selfstarter with the ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Capacity to work independently and handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Performs and completes routine chemical production based on written procedures or direct instruction within expected timelines
  • Ability to set up all required equipment for production of products and other related activities
  • Evaluates production process parameters and quality control measures while offering suggestions for improvements
  • Capable of running routine inprocess control tests based upon written and direct instructions
  • Responsible for maintaining clear and detailed production records
  • Responsible for maintaining neat clean and safe work area
  • Performs other duties of similar complexity as directed
