Job Description


Agricultural Technician 3rd year or Journey person.
Strong diagnostic skills and proficient in interpreting hydraulic & electrical schematics.
Be willing to assist in training apprentices.
Work with minimum supervision.
Diagnose repair or replace units to OEM specifications.
Works well with others.
Committed to providing quality customer service.
  • Inspecting trucks cranes bulldozers and other heavy equipment for proper performance.

  • Perform electrical hydraulic and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance.

  • Service repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive equipment such as container truck lifts reach stackers front end loaders cranes and other special purpose types of equipment.

  • Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.

  • Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs.

  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests;Provides instruction and training in the proper methods and processes necessary to perform equipment repair inspection and preventive maintenance identifying worn and damaged parts.

  • Cleaning lubricating and conducting routine services on heavyduty vehicles

  • Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines.

  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets
    manufacturers specifications.

  • Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches blades and side booms.

  • Maintain a schedule for preventative maintenance on all equipment providing for
    lubrication replacement of tires and tune ups.

  • Performing major repair work when necessary.

  • Provides instruction and training in the proper methods and processes necessary to
    perform equipment repair inspection and preventive maintenance.

  • Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Postsecondary certificate or degree in engineering OR training as a mechanic (a plus).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy diesel equipment or equivalent.
  • Understanding of computer testing technologies.
  • Welding experience (a plus).
  • Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
  • Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work afterhours if required.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift heavy machinery.


Benefits

Salary: $23.00 $35.00 per Hour
