The Karlup Service is a holistic wraparound service model for women and children to heal and recover from family and domestic violence which will run from the Angela Wright Bennett Centre (AWBC) building a stateoftheart purposebuilt facility in the Perth CBD.
The Karlup Service recognises that the relationship between family and domestic violence (FDV) and drug and alcohol use is complex. Support for women with problematic alcohol and other drug use is seen as a critical offering of the service to ensure that it does not undermine the chances of longterm recovery or inhibit a womans ability to build an independent life free from violence.
The role of the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Support Worker is to facilitate and coordinate support for problematic drug and alcohol use providing system navigation emotional encouragement and motivation through a casemanagement approach to women who have decided to seek support for the alcohol and/ drug use.
We are seeking someone to fulfill this role on a permanent parttime 0.6 FTE basis working 3 days per week.
