The Allied Health Work Experience Program at Alfred Health will give you the opportunity to observe what it is like to work in Allied Health. Allied Health Professionals are qualified health care professionals in areas such asArt Therapy Exercise Physiology Dietetics Disability Liaison Officers Music Therapy Occupational Therapy Orthoptics Podiatry Physiotherapy Prosthetics & Orthotics Psychology Social Work Speech Pathology & Language Services and Spiritual Care as well as Allied Health Assistants.
What might you see/experience
The Allied Health Work Experience Program will be based at one of the Alfred Health main sites (Alfred Caulfield or Sandringham Hospitals) with opportunities to spend time rotating across different Allied Health teams and areas.
By the end of the Program you will have a good understanding of what Allied Health professionals do and will have observed what it is like to work in one of Australias largest public health organisations.We hope this experience will inspire you to become a healthcare professional and make a positive impact in your community.
