Job Description

Job Title: Inspection C

Job Description:

Inspectors assume the responsibility of using predetermined methods operations setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually inprocess and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units subassemblies structural flaws internal defects and missing welds. Uses various measuring devices. Accepts rejects or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints diagrams dial indicators preset micrometers scales fixtures customer specifications drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Performs line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.

Essential Functions:

  • 100 nonsolder repetitive attribute inspections.
  • 100 attribute gauging.
  • Use inspection tools such as micrometer height indicator calipers scale comparator etc.
  • Interpret AQL Plan
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Fuze loading inspection.
  • Solder review.
  • Ensure accurate inspection of subassemblies (including piece parts) and toplevel assemblies.
  • Review and maintain support documentation accurately comparing and verifying information across multiple documents.
  • Interact cross functionally to meet department deadlines.
  • Ensure inprocess and finished products are in compliance with company standards.
  • Clearance if desired work extended hours per program request.

Qualifications:

  • Requires minimal job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Preferred knowledge or ability to learn of such precision measuring instruments as: micrometers verniers depth gauges gauge blocks sine bars and comparators. Preferred knowledge to work from complex blueprints inspection specifications and verbal or written instructions after training.
