TheDepartment of Transportation Servicesis looking for a Transportation Facilities Compliance Officer(Planner VII)to lead the daytoday management of the Rail Facilities Management & Maintenance Branch including performance management. This position develops implements and monitors strategies to ensure rail operations and maintenance work is completed contractual requirements are fulfilled and Key Performance indicators are achieved through effective leadership optimal resource allocation performance management and continuous improvement.
As a Transportation PlanningFacilities(Planner VII) your duties and responsibilities will include:- Managing the rail facilities maintenance functions of the rail service to ensure the system operates at maximum efficiency.
- Managing the processes and resources to meet the requirements of rail service (e.g. elevators escalators station cleanliness grounds maintenance and environmental).
- Reviewing and commenting on all design criteria and submittals for rail facilities elevators & escalators and nonrevenue vehicles and coordinate all activities directly or indirectly involving the Contractor.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities of the position.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionallyaccredited fouryear college or university with specialization in city planning architecture engineering economics sociology public administration or a related field.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionallyaccredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program evidence of comparability or an original transcript.Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your Bachelors degree in order to be given credit. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four years of professional work experience in transportation planning and/or engineering projects one of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity which shall have involved facility planning related to transportation or industrial activities.Examination Process
