TRUMPF is seeking a selfmotivated Indirect Procurement Intern who is ready to apply their analytical skills in a fastpaced and professional business setting. The intern will lead or support multiple cost savings and negotiation projects within various commodity groups. This internship will provide the student exposure to realworld business problems and also give them the opportunity to hone their problemsolving and communication skills. Internship will be from May 2025 to December 2025 for 32 hours a week.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Preparing bid comparison sheets and supporting price negotiations with suppliers
2. Sourcing alternative suppliers and analyzing supplier data from SAP to prepare proper RFx documents before or during tender process
3. Working with crossfunctional teams on cost savings projects to gather department requirements and preparing bid specification sheets
4. Supporting strategic buyers in developing commodity group strategies
5. Using SAP for data collection supplier evaluation and preparation of negotiations for RFx and contracts
6. Developing presentations with overviews and results arising out of negotiations and/or discussions with suppliers
Education Experience and Knowledge:
1. Business management or engineering background with an interest in commercial topics
2. Enjoys working in multifunctional teams comfortable in a fastpaced environment and interested in technology offered by TRUMPF
3. Organized goaloriented analytical dedicated to improvement selfmotivated and openminded
4. Enjoys working with large sets of data and thinks critically
Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required. Strong interpersonal communication skillsand ability to work as a team player.
Education
Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduates degree in a related field.
