Dr. Madhuranthakams newly established Quantitative Imaging Program in the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN has an immediate opening for two postdoctoral research fellows. The research program is focused on the development and evaluation of novel magnetic resonance (MR) imaging techniques for improved diagnosis prognosis and therapy response assessment. The research fellows in this position will primarily focus on quantitative imaging including arterial spin labeling (ASL) measured noncontrast perfusion diKusionweighted imaging (DWI) and fat/water separated imaging applied across a broad range of anatomies including brain kidneys lungs and wholebody imaging. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering Physics or related field and should be within one year of receiving the degree.
Preferred experience includes expertise in Biomedical imaging with specific emphasis on MR imaging pulse sequence programming and MATLAB/Python/C/C programming skills. The candidate should have a track record of publications excellent written and oral communication skills and will be expected to participate in both independent and collaborative projects. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of Dr. Madhuranthakam at Mayo Clinic. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peerreviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Upon background check and CCATS Executive Committee approval Research Fellow may have patient/research subject contact directly relating to and incidental to the original research program. Proof of English proficiency is required for J1 ShortTerm Scholars Research Scholars Professors Specialists and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
Must have a Ph.D. M.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program.
