What Youll Be Doing
The Capital Markets arm of CIBC provides corporate government and institutional clients with innovative solutions to help them raise capital and grow and invest actively throughout North America and key financial centres around the world. To deliver on its vision to be our clients preferred capital markets banking partner across multiple products and services both in Canada and where our core competencies can be exported. The Capital Markets mission is to bring Canadian Capital Markets products to Canada and the rest of the world and also bring the world to Canada.

How Youll Succeed
Research As Research Associate they will work closely with Research Analyst covering Real Estate sector which involves industry and company analysis. The Associates will learn and develop a depth of knowledge about financial analysis covered industries and capital markets. In the role they will build financial models and forecasts as well as harness a variety data sets to support investment recommendations and valuation analysis. They will gain valuable experience in writing detailed research reports and presentations to provide actionable insights to support investment decisionmaking for internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have excellent written verbal and presentation skills will have a strong attention to detail and will be very excelproficient and financialstatementliterate.
Client Focus. In cooperation with the Research Analysts they will participate in regular calls with public companies to get direct data from the senior management teams as well as ad hoc calls meetings and industry events. The position also provides the opportunity to liaise with our Sales Trading Investment Banking colleagues and clients as required.
Who You Are
You have attained relevant education. Please include a writing sample along with your cover letter resume and transcripts (if a recent graduate). Preference is given to candidates who possess an MBA CFA CPA and an undergraduate degree in Finance or businessrelated discipline. Candidates who possess data analysis/compilation and programming skills would be an asset.
You can demonstrate relevant Industry Experience. Experience conducting financial analysis of companies and economics. Previous capital markets experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of or work experience in the Real Estate industry is an asset. A strong background in accounting and finance is a preference.
You are technically savvy. Excellent knowledge of PC applications (Excel Word PowerPoint OneNote). .
You love to collaborate. Ability to explain detailed financial and statistical analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with internal and external clients.
You know that details matter. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Strong multitasking and time management skills. Ability to work independently in a deadlineoriented environment.
