Job Description

The Soils Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting the soils laboratory by following methodologies and preparing samples.
What you will do:
- Prepare samples for a wide variety of testing procedures following outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.
- Document activities and report results accurately and concisely.
- Assist group leaders and analystsin ordering and inventorying consumables chemicals and parts for instrumentation.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and work areas.
- Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
- Other duties as required.
What you will bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
- 13 years of previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred.
