Our Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum (ID/ASD) program serves boys and girls ages 6 to 17 with a degree of intellectual and developmental disability ranging from mild to severe with IQ scores ranging from 20 to 55. These children also exhibit significant behavioral challenges including selfinjury physical aggression and property destruction. The ID/ASD program teaches skill development positive behavioral change communication and selfcare enabling the youth to reach his or her fullest potential.
Devereux Pennsylvania Childrens Services (DPACS) center serves children adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders intellectual and developmental disabilities behavioral emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF) acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP) assessment services communitybased mental health services communitybased employment training and social skills training and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents 621 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities autism spectrum disorders concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of ProgramWide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PWPBIS) a programwide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors and prevents negative behaviors to create safe supportive living environments. Each year more than 1000 children and adolescents receive specialized care in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face all with the goal of providing each child with the academic social emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services discipline to include but not limited to psychology sociology social work education pastoral counseling political science heath recreation criminal justice counseling; and a minimum of two years direct care experience; OR 60 college credits from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline (as described above) and three years direct care experience.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.
