Job Description
Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth this Summer were looking to add a Process Engineering Intern located in our Buffalo Grove IL site.
Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager the student will work on challenging projects in support of realtime business issues to develop skills and experiences.
What a typical day looks like:
- Support the implementation and evaluation of proposed designs and processes for manufacturability
- Assist with the justification purchase and implementation of capital equipment for production
- Assist and oversee the new process equipment production
- Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements and materials
- Assist with statistical process analysis on new and existing products as well as the improvement of manufacturing safety productivity and yield improvements
- Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve inhouse capabilities
- Develop and maintain process documentation
- Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer
- Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer
- Make recommendations on cost improvement and reduction programs
Student qualities were seeking for this internship assignment:
- Jr/Sr student pursuing Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
- Highly collaborative creative and excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic about robotics and highspeed manufacturing processes
- Previous internship experience a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to start on June 2nd and work 40 hours/week (inperson) for a 1012 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
