In this role you will take photos for identification cards and driver licenses inspect vehicles and verify VIN numbers. A day in the life:
Take photos for customers who have applied for identification cards instructional permits or driver licenses.
Inspect vehicles and verify VIN numbers. This requires working outside in all weather conditions.
Provide exceptional customer service in every interaction.
Answer complex questions from the general public about DMV services and procedures.
Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute with a high level of accuracy. A typing assessment will be conducted at time of interview for selected candidates.
Travel to other offices within the region for relief work.
Attend training sessions outside of the region.

Comprehensive and equitable base salary offer within the listed range. Through an equal pay assessment we will determine the salary offer using the information you provide in your submitted application materials. The salary range listed is the nonPERS monthly salary range. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible the salary range will increase by 6.95.

Minimum qualifications:
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding word processing or other experience generating documents.
OR
An associates degree in any field.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Temporary appointments may be fulltime or parttime and will not exceed six months or 1040 hours.
