Job: Night Baker/Breakfast Cook
Position Type: FullTime
Schedule: 28 days on followed by 14 days off
Location: Remote Flyin / Flyout
About Us: Tamatta Mining & Construction is seeking a dedicated Night Baker to join our culinary team in a remote camp setting for one of our esteemed clients. If you have a passion for baking and the skills to create delicious treats from scratch we want to hear from you! Join us in delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a buffet breakfast with a daily special.
- Create baked goods and desserts from scratch.
- Collaborate with the first cook on menu development and grocery orders.
- Manage grocery inventory organization under the first cooks direction.
- Implement food inventory control using the first in first out method.
- Participate in the Food Safety Plan with advanced HACCP recording.
- Ensure safe food storage and labeling of allergenic items.
- Attend daily toolbox meetings and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Support monthly inspections of kitchen facilities.
What Were Looking For:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Night Baker in a camp setting.
- Strong management organizational and communication skills in both French and English.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended shifts.
- A teamoriented individual with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification 1 or 2week course required).
- Food Safe Handling Certificate and WHMIS Certification.
- Culinary Diploma or Red Seal Designation preferred.
