Job Description
What you will be doing!
As a System Engineer Level 3 you will provide support for multiple machine rooms.
Responsibilities
- Rack and Stack Servers switches routers etc.
- Run cables for new builds troubleshoot hardware issues with various model PDUsPDUs servers network gear KVMsKVMs Serial switches etc.
- Break down old racks for excess decommissioning.
- Maintain Access control systems for the Machine rooms.
- Maintain live/lab & spare inventories on hand and in Customer databases.
- Create/ Maintain rack drawings as needed.
- Currier Hardware between buildings.
- Work with facilities staff to update machine rooms.
- Continuously clean up old cables under the floor/over the racks etc.
- A Bachelors degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six 6 years of systems engineering experience OR
- A High School Diploma or GED plus ten 10 years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area). OR
- A Masters degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline
- from an accredited college or university plus four 4 years of systems engineering experience OR
- A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus two 2 years of systems engineering experience.
- An active TS/SCI security clearance with an appropriate polygraph is required for this role.
