Minimum Qualifications:
Required: High School graduate or equivalent. PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification within 1 year of hire or actively pursuing certification (as determined by pharmacy managementnot to exceed an additional 6 months) or Licensed Practical Nurse. Ordinary typing skills and computer data entry written and oral communication skills.
Preferred: Completion or graduation of a pharmacy technician training program or licensed practical nursing program. At least two years experience with medication dispensing preparation or administration in a nonpharmacy environment or pharmacy experience

Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical care. Care will correspond to patients unique medical needs and will be appropriate to the patients agenewborn pediatric adolescent adult or geriatric. In accordance with Department and institutional policies/procedures and with the rules/regulations enacted by the State Board of Pharmacy they will support the Departments logistic clinical technical and clerical functions.
