Job Description
GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Roadway Design) to work within our Ohio Transportation Business Unit. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging fastpaced varied and teamoriented environment that will use their related experience to develop professionally and grow in todays global environment. Remote and/or Hybrid work options (home or office) are also viable options and the successful candidate will be eligible for a signon bonus.
Job Duties:
- Roadway design for ODOT and Local Public Agency (LPA) clients
- Creates and reviews project design calculations quantity takeoffs specifications plans and contract documents
- Works within the Transportation Team assigning responsibilities
- Works within project schedules and budgets
- Applies ODOT design manual and AASHTO principles to highway design
- Utilizes roadway design CADD software
- May provide leadership coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
- Occasional travel to client meetings and site visits with possible overnight stays (up to 10 of the time).
