Job Description

By the Sea Resorts is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to assist our General Manager at our beautiful beachfront properties.The Hotel Assistant General Manager is responsible for the daytoday operations of By the Sea Resorts hotels. They oversee all aspects of the hotels operations including guest services food and beverage housekeeping maintenance and sales. The Hotel Assistant General Manager must be able to manage staff effectively resolve problems quickly and efficiently and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the operations of By the Sea Resorts hotels including guest services food and beverage housekeeping maintenance and sales
  • Manage hotel staff and ensure that they are meeting all hotel standards
  • Schedule shifts and assign tasks
  • Train new staff members
  • Inspect hotel facilities and ensure that they are clean and wellmaintained
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues
  • Order and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Develop and implement new hotel procedures and policies
  • Stay uptodate on industry trends and best practices
  • Work with the regional general manager to develop and implement the hotels overall business strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in hospitality management or a related field (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in a hotel management role
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
