Work Schedule: MidAugust through May approx. 23 hours per week Monday Friday 8:00 am 4:00 pm; June through MidAugust14 hours per week Monday Thursday 7:30 am 2:30 pm and Friday 7:30 am 12:00 pm. Flexibility and extra hours needed during rush periods (start and end of semesters) and for departmental PTO coverage.
Hourly Rate: $20.00 $23.00.
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform daily operations of the Print Center.
- Program complex job functions and digitally prepare files for printing using a variety of applications.Receive and process incoming printing and supply orders and ensure proper bill backs to departments and cash customers.
- Operate multiple highvolume copiers/printers and other finishing equipment to meet daily deadlines.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment troubleshoot problems place service calls and work with technicians.
- Understand print center pricing structure create invoices and provide estimates.
- Collaborate with campus partners and cash customers for effective use of the Print Center.
- Serve as a resource on issues relating to printing by advising customers on most effective print set up paper choice and design to achieve the highest quality and best pricing.
- Provide guidance in postal requirements for printed mailing pieces.
- Educate individuals on the use of PrintNet for ordering jobs and assist with placing orders for printing and supplies.
- Provide Package and Mail handling.
- Coordinate and serve as lead for mail and package/heavy parcel delivery and pickup to campus departments using the college van. Keep delivery van up to date on service and fuel.
- Intake and distribute incoming packages.
- Occasionally meter outgoing mail andassist customers with postage and shipping packages.
- Occasionally distribute mail to PO boxes.
- Support respect and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds values and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
- Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received and Exercised:
- Reports to the Auxiliary Operations Supervisor.
- This position supervises student workers.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years of work experience in the printing/copy business or relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: College degree in a related area such as computer graphics digital technology business accounting or marketing.
- Experience: Experience in a college setting. Proficiency in Microsoft office Gmail and Adobe highly desirable. Ability to learn new computer related skills.
