Job Description:
Intramural Sports officials encourage good sportsmanship and help to maintain a safe environment for the activities we provide. Below are a list of common job functions.
- Officiates various intramural events including flag football basketball softball volleyball and soccer.
- Attends training sessions for each event at the conclusion of training each official is expected to know all rules and policies pertaining to each event.
- Assists in managing risk by checking playing surfaces and player equipment before each event.
- Keeps track of the score and statistics for all intramural events.
- Is responsible for all equipment on his or her field/court.
- Aids in setting up/taking down of all equipment for events as directed.
- Needs to be adept in positively interacting with all intramural participants and staff including resolving conflicts that may arise.
- Encourage the Baylor Community to live active and healthy lives
- Assist in assigned area of responsibility
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors
- Participate in various activities and tasks related to health and recreation
- Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed
- Perform business operations duties for assigned area of responsibility
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
- Ability to prioritize and take initiative
- Assist with various projects activities and tasks related to business operations
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Pay is determined by employment length position and select certifications obtained
