A pivotal role leading the R&D/NPD projects within a food manufacturing plant ensuring seamless coordination across multiple departments to align product innovation with operational efficiency. Ensure critical aspects such as costs raw material selection and product line testing meets both technical and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:New Product Development: - Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including Marketing Commercial and Supply Chain to conceptualize formulate and prototype new products.
- Translate consumer insights and market trends into innovative product concepts with strong market potential.
Process ScaleUp and Commercialization: - Oversee the scaleup of new products and processes from benchtop to commercial production.
- Work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to ensure seamless transition and successful commercialization of new products.
- Continuously improvement of processes and techniques.
Technology Evaluation and Innovation: - Stay abreast of emerging technologies ingredients and processing techniques relevant to alternative food sources.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and innovations to enhance product quality process efficiency and sustainability.Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree in Process Engineering / Food Technology or comparable
- Minimum 5 years of experience in new product/process development (FMCG experience preferred)
- Proven track record of leading successful R&D projects from concept to commercialization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation sustainability and delivering superior products.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel & Syspro experience preferred
