Job Description

Sr. Software Developer

As Software Engineering Lead you will provide sound technical leadership for development design and scaling of a new web application positioned to reinvent the insurance market. Your technical skills and knowledge will assist in providing users with the best experience possible while keeping us competitive in the market. In this role you will not only lead but also operate alongside all development efforts and personnel both internal and external. Requirements

  • Create elegant solutions to complex problems
  • Proven experiencein a relevantE.M. lead or equivalent engineering role
  • Understanding of budgets and businessplanning
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership and organizational abilities
  • At least 5 years experience in SaaS or similar fast paced development environment
  • At least 3 years experience in insurance or financial technology preferred
  • Strategic thinking
  • Problemsolving aptitude
  • BS/BA in Computer Science Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and Sprint best practices
  • Knowledgeable with Cloud Technologies (Azure AWS Google etc.
  • Experience with Containerization (Docker Kubernetes etc.
  • Experience with Version Control (Git)
  • Experience leading code review for a team of Engineers
  • Experience with database architecture design
  • Experience with Userstory mapping
  • Ability to manage a growing team of Engineers

Salary

Location

This position is based out of the Milliman office in Omaha Nebraska. Candidates hired into this role must be willing to work onsite fulltime.
