Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and visionary Associate Executive Director to join our senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Executive Director you will play a key role in shaping our organizational culture building a strong and cohesive team and executing the mission and vision of Lakewood. In this dynamic leadership position youll help guide department directors collaborating across all levels to ensure the ongoing growth and success of our organization. By providing strategic vision and support for future needs you will strengthen staff capacity and contribute to cultivating an environment of excellence and compassion.

To perform this critical position successfully the Associate Executive Director must be able to fulfill all the elements of the job description to the highest standard and be able to work well with colleagues in a highenergy and collaborative work environment. All team members are expected to contribute to ongoing growth and improvement in their departments via job performance and proactive communication. Each team member and department are integral to the organizations mission.

Qualifications:

  • Seasoned professional with a minimum of 5 years experience in Life Plan Community setting(s).
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university required.
  • Licensed VA nursing home or assisted living administrator preferred.
  • Proven track record of effectively leading a direct service organization with a complex array of programs with Strong emotional intelligence and ability to coach mentor relate and listen to their team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
  • Exceptional written oral and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interface with senior management staff and external stakeholders.
  • Superior project management organizational teamwork and people skills.
  • Demonstrated computer expertise with Microsoft Office tools Google applications email applications and database systems.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse issues comfortably in multicultural environments.
  • Initiativetaking results driven meticulous and adaptable.
  • Able to exercise good judgment discretion and confidentiality. Must submit to and successfully pass a criminal history background check.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The Associate Executive Director assumes the following responsibilities under the direction of the Executive Director and in collaboration with other members of the leadership team and their staff.

Inspiring LeadershipProvide effective and thoughtful leadership by building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization including residents families and team members while continually reinforcing the organizations mission vision and values.

Operational Leadership Assist the Executive Director (ED) in all facets of community management: operations financial and budgeting for future services regulatory compliance sales and human capital management strategies.

Represent executive leadership at Community resident and staff events that drive resident satisfaction and team member engagement outcomes.

Strategic VisionProvide vision and motivation assisting in the implementation of the strategic plan. Provide strategy and assistance within the budget for future programming and services workforce development community space and infrastructure needs and systems that will help the organization more effectively carry out its mission with a focus on continual quality improvement.

Operational Leadership

As a member of the senior leadership team the Associate Executive Director assists the Executive Director in managing the daily operations of the community.

  • Implements and oversee operational policies and procedures systems and processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with department heads to achieve operational excellence and meet key objectives as outlined by the Executive Director and organization.

Resident and Family Relations

Promote a culture of excellent customer service for residents and families. Addresses resident concerns and issues resolving promptly and empathically. Fosters a welcoming and inclusive community where residents feel valued and respected

  • Conduct regular meetings with residents and families to gather feedback provide updates and other issues as needed.
  • Supports departmental team members as they work with resident and family transitions to and through the community to ensure a smooth process
  • Provide clear transparent communication on all issues that affect the stakeholders

Team Management and Development

Provide support and leadership with hiring training and mentoring team members ensuring an engaged empowered and motivated workforce

  • Work in conjunction with human resources and staff development to facilitate team member orientation
  • Assess opportunities to develop a mentoring program for all departments
  • Uphold a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with LifeSpires culture values and mission.

Financial and Regulatory Oversight

  • Work with the Executive Director to create annual budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor budget expenditures and revenues to meet financial objectives
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in the higher levels of care
  • Assist Executive Director as needed

Strategic Planning

  • Work with the Executive Director to set short and longterm goals for the community
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop initiatives to increase financial efficiencies resident and team member satisfaction

Emergency Management

  • Act as the primary decision maker in the absence of the Executive Director
  • Assist in coordinating response plans as needed in emergent situations
