Concrete Finisher - Traveling

Summary

At HiWay Paving we are general contractors in the construction field that specialize in significant amounts of concrete paving storm drainage and excavation on highways and airfields. We are looking for skilled Concrete Finishers to join our traveling crews.

What Youll Do:

• Spread level smooth and finish concrete surfaces.
• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy.
• Monitor temperature and environmental effects on concrete curing.
• Use hand and power tools to complete finishing tasks.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Follow all safety protocols and worksite instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We Look For:

• Constructionsite labor experience required.
• Heavy or highway construction experience preferred.
• Largescale concrete pouring or paving finishing experience required (e.g. roads highways bridges etc. 3 years preferred.
• ACI certifications (e.g. Flatwork Finisher) preferred.
• Union members: If applicable please indicate your union affiliation in your application.
• Ability to work safely make sound judgments and follow ethical decisionmaking practices.
• Regular punctual and consistent attendance.
• Ability to gain clearance for highsecurity zones (e.g. airport AOA military bases).
• Must be open to frequent travel based on project needs.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. climb stand walk kneel squat push pull and work in confined spaces.

HiWay Paving Inc. is a general contractor in the heavy/civil construction space focusing on projects involving significant amounts of concrete paving on airfields.

We operate in several southeastern and midwestern states with current job sites in Tennessee North Carolina and South Carolina as well as corporate/back office operations in Ohio (our headquarters) and remote locations. We perform most of our work and services as a prime contractor but occasionally serve as a subcontractor on principal contracts with federal state and other governmental agencies as well as private owners.
