Leads act as a point person in the clinical laboratory to provide handson guidance and support. Much of the Lead role is participating in clinical rotations and performing clinical work. Leads are expected to role model and enforce a respectful and professional work environment within the laboratory; as well as implement and maintain quality standards and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
The Flow Cytometry Lead acts as the primary trainer of new employees for technical competency. Additionally Leads serve as a first point of contact for laboratory staff to discuss questions comments or concerns; with leads in turn bringing these items to the supervisor as applicable. Finally Leads implement policies and procedures as developed by the supervisor/technical director as well as providing feedback and assistance developing policies as directed by the supervisor/technical director. Essential qualities of Leads include knowing when and how to appropriately escalate concerns and how to effectively engage in troubleshooting.
Lead positions are in adjunct to the levels in the Career Development Pathways such as Level II Technician Lead. The Lead role does not replace the I II III Senior titles but is in addition to.

Compensation & Benefits Package:
HematoLogics offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package which includes medical vision and dental insurance with 100 of monthly premiums paid by the company for employees and 50 of premiums paid for an employees spouse/partner/dependents.
