Job Title: Staff Physical Therapist
Reports To: Clinical Manager
Summary:
Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from vestibular and other balance impairments.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 12 employees in the clinic. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include
training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Graduated from an Accredited Physical Therapy program and in possession of a clear and active State Licensure.
Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides patient care in accordance with established protocols and patient care guidelines.Responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care.
Responsible for the delegation and supervision of appropriate patient care activities to the physical therapist assistant and rehab. technician that are in accordance with that employees skill level and deemed appropriate bythe state practice act.
Consults with referring physicians as needed through documentation and as well as verbally.
Responsible for pursuing continuing education in the form of formal classes reading of periodicals and other literature.
Responsible for adhering to all company policy and procedures.
Handles front desk functions as appropriate.
Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit.
Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continuedat home.
While performing the duties of this Job the employee is occasionally required to stand; sit and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50
pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
