Description / Position Overview
Data Analyst II
Are you a detailoriented data professional with a passion for Power BI and data visualization The City of Colorado Springs is seeking a Data Analyst II to support the training development enhancement and maintenance of Power BI dashboards. In this role you will collaborate with stakeholders assist team members in optimizing dashboards and help elevate datadriven decisionmaking across the organization.As a Data Analyst II you will:- Develop and Maintain Dashboards Design build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to support business intelligence and decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders Work closely with various teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Support and Train Analysts Assist team members in creating and refining Power BI dashboards while providing training and best practices.
- Ensure Data Accuracy Monitor data quality and consistency across reports and dashboards.
- Perform Data Analysis Use various data analysis techniques to uncover trends insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Enhance Data Processes Contribute to improving data standards governance and efficiency across the organization.
- Stay Current on Industry Best Practices Keep up with Power BI updates and industry trends to continuously improve reporting capabilities.

Strong understanding of Power BI components including Power Query data modeling and visualization best practices.
Data proficiency and familiarity with SQL and other data querying tools.
Communication and the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences effectively.
Collaboration mentorship and the willingness to support and mentor team members in data analysis and visualization techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science Business Analytics Information Systems or a related field.
- Experience: Three years of fulltime professional analytical experience in computer science or business analytics with direct experience using Microsoft Power BI or similar software
