Position Summary
The Indiana University School of Social Work IUSSW anticipates hiring two tenuretrack or tenured faculty positions at the assistant or associate rank at the Indianapolis campus. All areas of scholarly interest will be considered. Applicant experience should reflect potential for or an established record of success in scholarship funded research and teaching. These are 10month positions starting August 1 2025. The Indiana University School of Social Work IUSSW founded in 1911 is a universitywide system school with CSWE accredited MSW and BSW Programs since 1923 and 1975 respectively reaffirmed in 2021. School headquarters are located at Indiana University Indianapolis IUI with programs on eight IU campuses. The School is a founding member of the Universitys health sciences Interprofessional Practice and Education Center creating opportunities for students and faculty. IU provides faculty opportunities for competitive funding to support timely and innovative research such as the Racial Justice Research Fund for which five of our faculty received awards. The Schools annual enrollment totals approximately 1800 students across programs (PhD MSW BSW and campuses. With current leadership under Dean Kalea Benner the School encompasses eight campuses plus an online MSW program and a Center for Social Health and WellBeing to advance impact with our explicit commitment to diversity equity and inclusion DEI serving as a central guiding pillar.
