DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
Perform support for field operations. Perform physical tasks relating to testing of electrical apparatus. Perform other assignments as required. Position requires close supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform support for field operations and simple electrical equipment testing troubleshooting inspections.
- Maintain shop in a neat and orderly condition. (A shop technician in some service centers may handle this.
- Perform tasks such as testing of circuit breakers and motor control centers.
- Learn procedures from onthejob training for testing the following equipment: circuit breakers ground systems motor control centers switchboards medium voltage cables and ground fault systems.
- Write reports promptly at end of project using a computer and the Companys custom software.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school education or equivalent and one year minimum same or similar work experience.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- Regularly required to stand walk use hands and fingers handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk hear and smell.
- Frequently required to sit climb and balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision basic color differentiation and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 100pound test sets.
- Valid Drivers License.
