Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Intsel Steel East business to support the Sales team in all phases of our steel deck business. The position is available in South Plainfield NJ.
Responsibilities
- Submit accurate deck and joist estimates to customers and sales.
- Prepare RFIs and coordinate project details with all stakeholders (sales production customer engineers management).
- Mentor and collaborate with current estimating team and project managers.
- Generate and verify bill of materials for production.
- Coordinate estimating schedules
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
- Interact with subcontracted detailers
- Assist sales management with pricing and performance feedback.
- Team with outside sales representative to build a pipeline of opportunities.
- Support the quality/system of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Associates degree from an accredited institution or 35 years of equivalent work experience with steel deck and bar joist projects.
- Able to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficient level of computer skills in typing number key Word Excel and Outlook.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Problem solving and creative thinking.
- Prior deck and joist detailing and estimating experience.
- Advanced knowledge of AUTO CAD & TEKLA
- Excellent ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints.
- Proficient in estimating software.
