Your work environment at EXP
In this role you will be a part of the Mining Team based in Sudbury or North Bay ON office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- PLC Power Automation and instrumentation mining experience required.
- Responsible for meeting firms engineering quality levels of discipline on assigned projects.
- Oversees development of design concepts by Designers and ensure proper application and .
- Verifies Designers work quality regarding specifications reports code application submittal review equipment selection deliverables and drawings.
- Responsible for applying the EXPs risk management practices of electrical engineering.
- Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.
- Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions.
- Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
- Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination.
- Perform frontend loading of Electrical systems for projects.
- Contributes to revisions of EXPs design standards and master specifications.
- Evaluates Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.
- Edits and develops the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope.
- Develops electrical onelines load lists area classifications etc.
- Participates in HAZOP PHA safety reviews.
What your experience looks like
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University.
- EIT or Registered P.Eng.
- At least 3 years of experience in the mining or industrial industry.
