We are seeking anApplication Support Agent for TRACES Veterinary profileto join our team in Brussels.

Description of the project:
As a fulltime employee you will be part of the application support team at the DirectorateGeneral for Health and Food Safety (SANTE). You will be responsible for the support of the TRAde Control and Expert System (TRACES) which is a multilingual online management tool which notifies certifies and monitors trade in animals products of animal origin and feed and food of nonanimal origin as well as of plants seeds and propagating material. TRACES is an egovernment system following the requirements of the EU Digital Agenda towards dematerialisation of health documents.
The TRACES Team is looking to reenforce its workforce on the domain of the practical enforcement of the Veterinary Health policy of the Union as a part of the Harmonised legislation of the EU represented by the main documents in use Common Health Entry Documents for Live Animals and Animal Products Health Certificates to the EU IntraTrade certificates Commercial documents DOCOM and EXPORT certificates.
Your main task will be to answer any business user related questions and clarify any policy area related procedures and requirements concerning the use of TRACES to all stakeholders.
Accordingly you will provide feedback to the TRACES EC management and the IT team on the use of TRACES. Where needed you will perform a followup on issues detected. You will keep existing documentation uptodate perform enduser related functional compliance tests on new releases of the system. You may also be requested to provide trainings and workshops on the use of TRACES.

Description of tasks:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone or email.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to our applications including software bugs system errors and user problems.
  • Document customer inquiries issues and resolutions in our ticketing system ensuring accurate and thorough records.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including business team and software developers to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Provide guidance and training to endusers on how to use our applications effectively including best practices and troubleshooting tips.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge base articles FAQs and other selfservice resources for customers.
  • Assist with testing and validation of software updates patches and new features prior to release.
  • Perform Standby: Monitor that the application is available outside working hours.

Knowledge and skills:
Desirable:
  • Academic background: Veterinary medicine/Biology/Agronomic studies or other relevant specialisations related to the Science of the Living.

Other requirements:
  • EU Citizenship.
  • Resident or available to relocate to Belgium.
