This position is a Full Time position in our med/surg department.

SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager provides direct patient care in the acute care departments by assisting and/or providing nursing care to acute care patients. Communicates with nurses and other staff about patients clinical condition. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in conditions. Additionally is crosstrained to perform duties in other departments.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Completion of Certified Nurses Aide training course required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Six months experience in a hospital setting preferred.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Current CNA certification required.
• Current CPR certification required.
