Are you looking for an opportunity to use your experience in cybersecurity management to make a genuine difference Join AnglicareSA as our Cyber Security Manager and help safeguard the digital infrastructure of a notforprofit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of South Australians in need.

With your knowledge of industry best practices youll create and maintain policies and procedures designed to mitigate cyber risks. Leveraging your skills in threat detection and incident response you will oversee security operations to ensure the confidentiality integrity and availability of our data and systems.

Your expertise in compliance will assist in conducting risk assessments and ensure we meet relevant industry standards legal and regulatory requirements. By collaborating with IT and other portfolios you will embed security best practices across all functions.

Using your leadership and stakeholder management skills you will mentor staff ensuring continuous improvement and skill development and promote a securityconscious culture through a comprehensive awareness program.

Your strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks risk management and compliance requirements combined with your proficiency in security technologies and excellent communication skills will be key to your success in this role.

What can you expect to be doing

As Cyber Security Manager youll take charge of developing implementing and managing a comprehensive cybersecurity program. Youll create policies and procedures to mitigate cyber risks while overseeing security operations to ensure the confidentiality integrity and availability of AnglicareSAs data and systems.

  • Lead the charge in developing and managing a comprehensive cybersecurity program.
  • Create and implement policies and procedures to mitigate cyber risks and ensure the confidentiality integrity and availability of information.
  • Oversee security operations including threat detection incident response and vulnerability management to keep our systems secure.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements like ISO 27001 and Essential Eight.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to embed security best practices across all functions and enhance organisational resilience.
  • Lead and mentor the cybersecurity team promoting continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity to inform strategic decisions and keep our defences strong.
  • Report on cybersecurity risks trends and incidents to senior leadership and key stakeholders ensuring everyone is informed and prepared.

What do you need to bring

  • Degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology or a related field. Highly desirable: relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM CRISC or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in cybersecurity including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • A strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks risk management and compliance requirements and knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats trends and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in managing security operations incident response and threat intelligence with the ability to analyse complex security threats and develop practical effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in security technologies such as SIEM firewalls IDS/IPS endpoint protection and cloud security.
  • Experience working in largescale enterprise security environments with familiarity with cloud security in AWS Azure or Google Cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess and respond to security threats along with effective communication skills to convey security concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement with the ability to thrive in a broad and dynamic environment adapting to changing security landscapes.
