Job Description

The Payroll Coordinator collect and process all payroll information necessary to ensure accurate recording and distribution of payroll checks. Ensures eligible employees are offered and enrolled in Eventide benefits that they elected.

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with employees and managers.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws regulations and best practices applicable to payroll and benefits.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn our HRIS system that manages the payroll and benefit functions.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Process payroll biweekly for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to payment and confirm reports.
  • Understand proper taxation of employerpaid benefits.
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
  • Process accurate and timely quarterly and yearend reporting.
  • Ensure that all tax deposits are made timely.
  • Process manual checks as defined in Eventides policy.
  • Compile and submit payroll deductions related check requests and payments.
  • Maintain current knowledge of IRS regulations.
  • Provide support assistance and information to employees and departments in all aspects that relate to payroll.
  • Apply applicable payroll regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable rules regulations standards policies and procedures.
  • Prepare generate and maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
  • Work closely with other finance staff to ensure that payroll data is correctly coded.
