Description
St. Johns School is looking for passionate educators to join our community who know how to support middle school students and are committed to teaching the whole child. The ideal Math teacher engages in experiential inquirybased pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning while understanding differentiated instruction. We seek teachers who have the flexibility to teach any middle school mathlevel course and who value working in a highly collaborative teaching and learning environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with students with a range of academic capabilities and be open to their own continued professional growth. We seek individuals who support the schools Mission and its Precepts and Principles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a course load of 4 sections of middle school Math.
- Serve as an advisor for 1214 students annually and guide and support the SocialEmotional Learning program.
- Work as a collaborative member of a gradelevel and departmental team.
- Participate in a weeklong gradelevel overnight trip annually
- Engage in shared middle school responsibilities and duties including our DaVinci activity periods study halls and student supervision.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in math math education or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of relevant classroom teaching experience teaching middle schoolaged students.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with students parents faculty staff administrators and the community. - An understanding and demonstrated commitment to competency in diversity equity and inclusion.
