The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM) is seeking qualified candidates to join its growing Cardiac Electrophysiology program within the Department of Medicine Section of Cardiology. The scope of clinical service will include but is not limited to complex ablations including VT and atrial fibrillation ablation as well as device implantation. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop a wide regional EP referral network through outpatient practice within EP clinical group while maintaining consultative cardiology mastery within the Temple Heart and Vascular Institute (THVI). Inpatient consultative rounds within the EP subspecialty are shared among the EP group and occur at both TempleMain and TempleJeanes campuses. The Temple Cardiology Section offers candidates a uniquely supportive practice environment emphasizing quality patient care research teaching individual career development and collegiality among faculty members. Qualified candidates must be ABIM certified in IM cardiology and fellowship trained in cardiac electrophysiology
The electrophysiologists at Temple have decades of experience diagnosing and treatingheart rhythm disorders. We perform routine and complex electrophysiology procedures with the help of some of the newest technologies often improving the quality of life for patients and reducing their risk ofheart failure stroke or other serious issues. With one of the largest electrophysiology (EP) facilities in Pennsylvania our EP specialists can perform sophisticated procedures and studies including cardiac electrical mapping 3D diagnostics intracardiac echocardiography tilt table testing and wireless monitoring to help diagnose elusive rare or complexarrhythmias. We then offer a variety of therapies from counseling and medication management to interventional procedures to help patients manage these disorders. Temples electrophysiologistsparticipate in multicenter clinical trials and constantly investigatenew technology and treatment options to ensure we stay on the leading edge of treatment and diagnosis. We also collaborate with our cardiovascular surgery colleagues on advanced procedures likeMAZEfor complex arrhythmias.
