Your Mission
Join a highly skilled team dedicated to defending our nations most critical networks. As a Software Engineer II you will support an elite cybersecurity mission developing innovative solutions that enhance defensive operations. Your work will directly impact Red Hunt Blue and JCMA missions helping to secure and strengthen national security assets. In this fastpaced DevOpsdriven environment you will collaborate with experts across multiple disciplines develop prototypes to answer pressing cybersecurity challenges and refine existing solutions to improve mission outcomes. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring operational resilience and advancing cybersecurity capabilities.

A Day in the Life Of:
- Develop solutions to support Defensive Cybersecurity Operations
- Design and implement prototypes that answer new mission questions and enhance existing capabilities
- Serve as a primary development point of contact for Blue Team missions while having opportunities to support Red Hunt and JCMA missions
- Collaborate with cybersecurity experts systems engineers and data scientists to develop integrated solutions
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance mission effectiveness
Must Have:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Bachelors degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Masters degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or Associates degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or High school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience (with indepth related experience)
- Strong proficiency in:
- Cybersecurity principles
- Python
- Splunk
- Infrastructure as Code (Ansible Terraform)
- Systems Integration
- Linux (CentOS Red Hat)
- GitLab
- Atlassian Jira
Nice to Have:
- Experience with:
- RESTful API integration
- JavaScript
- Bash scripting
- Jenkins
- Rancher/Kubernetes
- Docker
- Airflow
- Data Science/Machine Learning
