Solutions Architect - DoD AWS - WWPS - DoD Air Force Team - RF

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Solution Architect to support our Department of Defense customers. As a Solution Architect on the AWS DoD Team you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to Department of Defense & Intelligence Community customers. You will be the face of Amazon to your customer(s) and they will consult you regarding a broad variety of technical challenges which are not just complex but missioncritical. You will regularly collaborate with and influence both external stakeholders (our government customers) and internal AWS teams like sales and platform engineering. On our team you have the opportunity to think big as you design and architect advanced cloudbased solutions that suit your customers business and technical needs.

Our Solution Architects are regarded as technical thought leaders who evangelize emerging technologies not only on a conceptual level but also on a practical architectural level. Our SAs have over the years played a critical role in the widespread adoption and advancement of cloud computing capabilities within the Department of Defense. They think outside of the box to deliver results to our customers and provide solutions that are costeffective timesaving and secure. On our team you will work backwards from our customers goals to migrate complex workloads to the AWS cloud. Frequently you will be responsible for missioncritical solutions with lifesaving implications.

This is a customerfacing position where you will introduce new features and products in order to help colleagues and customers embrace technological advancement. We would therefore love to see someone who has demonstrated thought leadership in terms of looking beyond the current state of your customers technology considering the value that new technologies can create for your customers and helping to change how these products are viewed and accepted. With this role:
We are interested in candidates that have a strong background in radio frequency (RF) systems including spectrum monitoring signals processing and communications. Ideal candidates will have deep knowledge software defined radio technology RF analytics tooling RF relevant software development experience deep understanding of RF data types including inphase quadrature Pulse Descriptor Word etc. Additionally we prefer candidates with experience in applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to RF data uses cases.
You will focus on developing Radio Frequency data processing pipelines leveraging cloud architectures
You will advise customers on pathways to optimize legacy RF processing systems on AWS
You will enjoy working with Department of Defense & Intelligence Community customers. Youll get excited about educating training designing and building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of Intelligence Community customers.
You will demonstrate your strong understanding of large scale computing solutions. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deepdive education and design exercises to create worldclass solutions built on AWS.
You will partner with the sales team to formulate and execute a sales strategy to achieve sales goals through the adoption of AWS
You will be the primary technical advisor to the sales process ensuring success in building and migrating applications software and services on the AWS platform
You will educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
You will conduct onetofew and onetomany training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
You will capture and share bestpractice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community
You will author or otherwise contribute to AWS customerfacing publications such as whitepapers and other reusable content
You will build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
You will act as a technical liaison between customers service engineering teams and support

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

2 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
4 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
6 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Bachelors degree or CASP (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
Current active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Experience working within software development or Internetrelated industries
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
