Your work environment at EXP

EXP is currently recruiting for anEnvironmental Qualified Personto work in ourHamilton Markham or Brampton ON offices. You will be a motivated detailoriented selfstarter with fourplus years of experience in environmental site assessment and consulting services. You will be responsible for various tasks reporting to the Environmental Services Manager

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Technical services primarily focused on Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg. 153/04 requirements
  • Technical services related to Excess Soil Management to O.Reg. 406/19 requirements
  • Experience in completing peer reviews of technical documents and reports
  • Draw on technical skills and expertise to design install and conduct ongoing maintenance of remediation systems
  • Working familiarity with Ontario Regulation 153/04 and Ontario Regulation 406/19
  • Scope preparation
  • Report preparation
  • Review and evaluate the technical work of other staff
  • Maintain excellent client relationships in various industries
  • Working with clients junior staff and project managers

What your experience looks like

  • 5 years of experience in environmental assessments and excess soil
  • P.Eng. or P.Geo license in Ontario and QPESA designation required
  • University degree in a related field of study such as Environmental Engineering Environmental Science Hydrogeology or Geology
  • Highly technical abilities in environmental site assessment and remediation design combined with a mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of risk assessment/remediation systems/techniques
  • Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04 as amended (including the filing of Record of Site Condition)
  • Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19 as amended
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as advanced technical writing abilities
  • Ability to problem solve troubleshoot and put forth creative solutions
