Job Description

Your role.

The Orange Door offer help and support to families experiencing complex needs and risk issues in any of the following service areas: Family Services Child Protection Family Violence Disability Housing Mental Health and/or Alcohol and Other .

The Orange Door Senior Practitioners will work as part of an integrated team to provide specialist support to perpetrators adults children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced family violence and families who need extra support with the care of children. In this role you will be responsible for the provision of services to Children and Young People entering The Orange Door.

As a Senior Practitioner you will support people with advice with a focus on risk assessment engagement provision of an initial response and as a source of information to people referred to the Hub. You will work collaboratively as part of an integrated practice approach to respond to family violence and children and family vulnerability concerns through the provision of;

  • Screening and triage assessment crisis responses service planning targeted interventions;
  • Allocation services and coordination of referrals;
  • Collaborative working with the Hub team to support integrated risk assessment and planning including participating in case conferences meetings and the resolution of stakeholder issues.

As a senior practitioner additional responsibility will also include;

  • Carrying a level of responsibility for decision making to Identify assess and prioritise risk and needs of women and children families and perpetrators;
  • Management of Caseloads as a lead practitioner or support worker if required.

Location and Travel requirements:

This position is based at Frankston in Child Wellbeing specialisation but working within integrated practice. Successful candidate might be required to work at other sites across the Orange Door Bayside Peninsula access point network including Hastings and Bentleigh.
