Your role as a ConstructionLab Technician you will be responsible for providing assistance with various construction materials testing in the laboratory and collection of relevant test data on future or existing projects. We will provide onthejob training. With projects ranging from complex roadway construction to singlefamily residential communities you will gain the knowledge and experience necessary to take your skills to the next level.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine laboratory tests on soil including compaction testing (proctors) gradations and Atterberg limit testing
Test concrete cylinders grout prisms and mortar specimens for strength parameters
Document accurate and detailed lab activity and report the findings to other technicians and supervisors
Communicate verbally and electronically with various lab/field personnel and colleagues
Follow all company safety procedures and policies
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: AAS or BS in Civil Engineering Civil Engineering Technology or relevant field of study
Preferred:prior experience as field/engineering technician construction materials testing or related experience
Preferred: Active ACI ICC and/or WACEL certifications and/or willingness to obtain industry certifications
Ability to prioritize tasks and organize data
Ability to accurately complete labtesting paperwork
Ability to follow directions from others and complete assigned tasks
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions detailed reports short correspondence and memos
Ability to work well with others
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Days and hours for this position are typically MondayFriday during the day
Regularly exposed to warehouse conditions such as wet and/or humid environments extreme cold and/or heat dusty and noisy work environments
Lab work on construction materials involving longterm standing sitting and repetitive motions
Ability to use your senses to see (including close distant and peripheral vision depth vision and ability to focus) smell hear and touch (use your hands to reach climb or balance crouch stoop crawl kneel and sit)
Ability to regularly lift and/or move/shake up to 40lbs. (soil and/or concrete tests and related apparatus); frequently lift and/or move up to 60lbs. (soil and sand samples and nuclear density equipment); and occasionally move more than 100lbs. (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete samples)
