Postdoctoral Research Associate
An NIHfunded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Rachael Seidler within the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida to work on a collaborative project which will investigate vestibular declines in older adults and how they lead to issues with mobility and spatial navigation. As one of the worlds leading research institutions the University of Florida provides an exceptionally supportive environment for research. The Neuromotor Behavior Laboratory (directed by Dr. Seidler) is an interdisciplinary productive and dynamic group of students and staff researching the neurocognitive control of movement.
The postdoctoral researcher will study neural correlates of vestibular function associated with walking and spatial navigation in older adults with and without subjective cognitive decline. The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with a research team to collect and analyze data prepare manuscripts for publication and participate at national and international level meetings.
The position is initially available for one year and may be renewable.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience and consistent with NIH salary scale
The candidate should have a Ph.D. in psychology neuroscience kinesiology or related field.
Experience with MRI techniques and / or vestibular research is desirable. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills be strongly motivated and work well in a team setting. Experience with computer programming is a plus (MATLAB LabView and / or EPrime).
