We are seeking a Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. This role involves monitoring detecting and mitigating security threats using Proofpoint and CrowdStrike handling incident response vulnerability management and performing other securityrelated tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to respond swiftly to security incidents. Some penetration testing experience is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
- Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activities using CrowdStrike EDR and Proofpoint email security solutions.
- Respond to security incidents perform forensic analysis and document findings.
- Work with IT teams to contain and remediate security breaches.
- Maintain and update incident response plans and conduct periodic tabletop exercises.
Vulnerability Management
- Perform vulnerability scans and analyze reports to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure timely remediation of security vulnerabilities.
- Recommend security controls and best practices based on assessment findings.
Email & Endpoint Security
- Manage and optimize Proofpoint email security to prevent phishing spam and malware attacks.
- Configure and tune CrowdStrike policies to enhance endpoint protection.
- Investigate emailbased threats and assist in mitigating spearphishing attacks.
Security Policy & Compliance
- Assist in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks NIST ISO 27001 SOC 2 etc..
- Provide security awareness training to employees to mitigate cyber risks.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Stay uptodate with the latest cybersecurity threats tools and best practices.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement security improvements.
- Participate in security audits and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Some college coursework preferred.
Experience:
- 1 years of experience in cybersecurity SOC operations IT support or incident response.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
- CompTIA Security CySA CEH or similar.
Technical Skills:
- Handson experience with Proofpoint (email security) and CrowdStrike (endpoint security).
- Knowledge of SIEM IDS/IPS firewalls and network security principles.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus Qualys or Rapid7.
- Penetration testing experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with malware analysis phishing campaigns and social engineering attacks.
- Basic scripting skills in Python PowerShell or Bash are a plus.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid drivers license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid and remote work options. Prefer candidate within driving distance of Dallas office.
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Must be able to lift carry push or pull up to 30 lbs.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors as necessary.
Compensation:
- For certain California based roles the base salary hiring range for this position is $89000.00 $116820.00
- For other California based roles the base salary hiring range for this position is $82000.00 $107140.00
- For Colorado based roles the base salary hiring range for this position is $78000.00 $102300.00
- For Illinois based roles the base salary hiring range for this position is $82000.00 $107140.00
- For other Illinois based roles the base salary hiring range for this position is $78000.00 $102300.00
- For New York based roles the base salary hiring range for this position is $89000.00 $116820.00
- For other New York based roles the base salary hiring range for this position is $74000.00 $97350.00
- For Washington based roles the base salary hiring range for this position is $82000.00 $107140.00
