Space Rocket Cleaning and Inspection

Multiple openings on multiple shifts immediately available.

Compensation: Up to $47/hour plus overtime 10 hours weekly is available) and healthcare benefits available.

Location: Kent WA. These positions are 100 onsite at a space rocket facility with no possibility of remote or workfromhome.

Positions are 624 month contracttohire opportunities with high possibility to convert to FTE.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain Facilities and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists technicians and engineers you will perform general duties involved in the precision cleaning and inspection of aerospace hardware for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the teams impact on all aspects of engine production.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and passivate hardware using means such as solvent/chemical mechanical ultrasonic and precision cleaning methods.
• Safely handle hardware utilizing overhead cranes hoists and associated lifting equipment.
• Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct CPV Lab solvent/chemical systems.
• Inspect hardware using visual UV light borescope microscopic particle count and highprecision weighing methods.
• Package accepted hardware and supplies for storage or shipment.
• Perform shoplevel maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps tanks filtration systems scales etc.
• Conduct general housekeeping of CPV Lab and Certified Clean Room area.
• Follow safety regulations and wear protective eyewear steeltoe boots and other applicable personal protective equipment.

Skills:

• Technical expertise in cleaning and passivation using various methods (solvent/chemical mechanical ultrasonic precision).
• Safe handling of hardware using overhead cranes hoists and lifting equipment.
• Analytical skills for titration and direct measurement methods in lab settings.
• Inspection skills using visual methods UV light borescope microscopic particle count and highprecision weighing.
• Packaging skills for storage or shipment of hardware.
• Maintenance and calibration skills for shoplevel equipment (pumps tanks filtration systems scales).
• General housekeeping skills for lab and clean room areas.
• Understanding and adherence to safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
