Job Description
Your Title: Software Test Engineer Positioning Technologies
Job Location: Westminster CO100 In The Office)

Are you interested in identifying and delivering disruptive cuttingedge vehicle system technologies
As a Software Test Engineer you will be joining the core team developing positioning solutions to enable advanced motion control systems for offhighway industrial machinery in the agriculture and construction industries such as tractors harvesters dozers excavators etc. The work will include developing automated testing tools scripts and procedures to evaluate and validate the performance and quality of the products that Trimble develops. You also will support the development teams with infield data collection required to aid with positioning software and tools development as well as for use in your software testing efforts.
What You Will Do
Assist the transition of testing from onvehicle to automated test environments in order to expedite development speed improve quality and reduce operating costs
Develop and execute test plans/procedures at all levels of test: MIL/SIL HIL and Onvehicle
Develop data analysis scripts that present result in a clear concise manner that enables developers to quickly understand your conclusions (issue performance baseline etc)
Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to define test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Help standup a HardwareintheLoop (HIL) testbench and create HIL test procedures
Write model/softwareintheloop (MIL/SIL) test cases to improve overall test coverage
Collect vehicle data logs following rigorous test methodologies
Working with Python Matlab/Simulink or other scripting languages to get the job done
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:
5 years of experience in test automation and validation
Understanding of positioning technologies and principles such as GNSS IMUs or related sensor fusion technologies
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Bachelor Masters or higher Engineering degree is required in a related field such as Computer Engineering/Science Robotics
Engineering Aerospace Engineering Mechatronics Engineering
Proficiency with Python tools as well as scripting languages such as Matlab
Extensive experience with test verification validation and productization of algorithms
Strong experience with data collection and organization
Familiarity with data statistics and probability theory
Works closely with stakeholders and the development team to identify testing and validation requirement and objectives; drives to continuously improve testing workflows and processes
Effective analytical and problem solving skills
Effectively interact with a global team with excellent communication and documentation skills
Have problemsolving and time management skills with motivation and ability to work autonomously
Ability to read and understand C/C code
Ability to travel (including international) up to 25 per year
What Skills & Experience You Could Bring:
12 years of applicable work experience
Practical controls experience in offhighway automotive aerospace or related
HIL and SIL testing including familiarity with HIL testbench HW/SW (e.g. NI Veristand)
Autonomous/Semiautonomous vehicle control
Experience in safetycritical software development and familiarity with certification processes
Familiarity with testing tools and instrumentation sensors e.g. potentiometers hall effect sensors accelerometers
Proficiency in effective test suite writing demonstrating the ability to design comprehensive tests that maximize coverage and efficiency
Experience with Linuxbased operating systems
Experience with J1939 or NMEA2000 CAN Communication
Proficiency with C
