The General Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care including preoperative evaluations performing surgeries and managing postoperative recovery. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of general surgery skills and a commitment to delivering highquality patient care in a communityfocused setting.

What Youll Do:
Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare. While physician specialties might vary the commonality across specialties is that physicians primarily work to diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They often do this by performing physical exams taking medical histories performing and interpreting diagnostic tests and recommending a plan of treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of general surgical procedures
- Conduct preoperative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans
- Manage postoperative care including monitoring recovery and followup care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on surgical options procedures and recovery expectations
Position Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school as a M.D./D.O.
- Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution.
- Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License as a current M.D./D.O.
- Board certification in related field from said residency.
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing required
