Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assistant Professor/Associate Professor: Faculty are required to meet expectations in teaching and student development scholarly and creative endeavors and academic and professional service. Examples include but are not limited to; teach courses in the Interior Design program; participate in program development CIDA accreditation departmental and university committee work; advise students; produce an active agenda of scholarly or creative work in the field of interior design; and develop and maintain highquality studio resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess a terminal degree in Interior Design or a designrelated discipline (Ph.D. MFA M. Arch. or equivalent) with a minimum of one studiobased degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture and the following qualifications: A demonstrated specialization in two or more of the following areas: rapid visualization (digital and manual) virtual reality design thinking diversity and inclusion codes and standards construction documentation and detailing lighting environmentallysensitive design collaboration evidencebased design humancentered design environmental psychology ergonomics and human factors. Expertise in the software programs: Autodesk Revit Autodesk AutoCAD SketchUp MS Office Suite and the Adobe Creative Suite.
