Job Description
Job Summary
Teach course(s) in Engineering and/or Physics in keeping with candidates specialization and departmental need.
At Bethel we offer classes that are 1 2 or 4 credits. Adjunct load will vary based on capabilities of the Adjunct Professor and needs of the department. We pay $1250 per credit hour for in person courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach (and possibly design) Engineering/Physics course(s) and/or labs on an assigned topic with support from the department
- For courses draw up a syllabus and maintain a course Moodle page
- For labs associated with courses taught by other faculty manuals equipment and supplies will be provided by the department
- Teach the course or lab in person grade assignments and tests and support students as needed to promote their learning
- Contribute to an academic environment that actively seeks to increase inclusive excellence in the department and in the discipline
Skills
- Ability and interest in teaching undergraduate students in a facetoface environment
- Ability to explain complex concepts in Engineering or Physics
Experience
College teaching experience preferred
Education
Masters degree in Engineering or Physics required; PhD preferred
Additional Information
Compensation:
We pay $1250 per credit hour for in person courses.
