JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is located in the Business Tax Unit of the Income Tax Division and engages in supervisory work in the review of returns and applications and the assessment of tax by applying laws and regulations pertaining to the assessment and collection of taxes administered by the Income Tax Division. Taxes administered by the Business Tax Unit include corporate income tax franchise tax insurance taxes composite filings passthrough entity withholding and certain taxpayer benefit programs. Training on these tax types and benefit programs will be made available to the selected candidate.
Senior Tax Examiners are working supervisors responsible for training and supervising Tax Examiner personnel providing assistance to taxpayers and tax professionals and addressing the most challenging and complex tax problems. Work is performed under limited supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
ABachelorsDegreefrom an accredited educational institution and eighteen 18 months of professional work experience in accounting auditing finance or tax preparation/examination.Equivalent experience may be substituted for education on a yearforyear basis.
